PlainLock does not collect, store, or transmit your personal data. The app makes no network requests and has no accounts, cloud sync, analytics, advertising SDKs, or third-party tracking code. The rules and settings you create stay only on your device and are deleted when you delete the app.
PlainLock uses Apple’s Screen Time framework (Family Controls) only to enforce restrictions you set for yourself. Apple provides opaque tokens rather than app names, so PlainLock cannot identify the apps you select.
This website and the PlainLock landing pages use Cloudflare Zaraz to load Google Analytics 4 and Microsoft Clarity. We use them to understand page views, language-specific pages, and App Store button usage. These website tools are separate from the PlainLock app itself, which does not use them.
Google Analytics 4 may collect page views, browser and device information, approximate location, language, traffic source, and event parameters configured by this website, such as page language, Campaign Link, and button location. Microsoft Clarity may collect clicks, scrolling, mouse movement, page interactions, and page structure for heatmaps and session recordings. We do not send your name, email address, or in-app settings in our custom analytics events. These services may use cookies or similar technologies. You can block or delete cookies through your browser settings. If the page provides cookie preference controls, you can also adjust them there. Blocking website analytics does not affect your use of the PlainLock app.
The statement that “the app itself does not collect data” does not include support messages that you choose to send. When you email [email protected], your email address, message, and any attachments you voluntarily provide are handled by the email service provider to read, reply to, and resolve your support request. This email information is not collected by the app, is not used for advertising, tracking, or profiling, and is retained only as long as needed for support and necessary records.
